Yueyue (Sapphire; she/her/hers) joined the PINE Lab in September 2020 after receiving her Ed.M. in Mind, Brain, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in May 2020, under the mentorship of Dr. Charles Nelson. Her graduate work in the Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience at Boston Children's Hospital sought to identify electroencephalogram (EEG)/event-related potentials (ERP)-based markers of Autistic Spectrum Disorder in the first three years of babies' cognitive development. Through collaboration with The Gates Foundation Neuroimaging Consortium, she is interested in understanding state-of-the-art EEG measures and how accurately they can be used to predict healthy brain development in global contexts of adversity. At leisure, she hopes to develop a series of engaging EEG tutorials and introduce more people to this intersection of neuroscience, medicine, and public health.
