PINE SEEDLING: Longitudinal Imaging of Neurocognitive Growth

We are currently actively recruiting new participants for PINE SEEDLING after participation in PINE SEED! If you are interested, please fill out our interest form here or click here for more information.

Project PINE SEEDLING will focus on the earliest brain mechanisms that support the foundations of socioemotional development across the first 2 years of life. PINE SEEDLING uses multiple MRI techniques to characterize several neuroplasticity mechanisms over infancy, including elements of structural brain development and neurochemical changes like E/I balance. This project builds on Project PINE SEED (participants will complete both projects) to combine measures of infants’ experiences with these neuroplasticity measurements to understand how brains and experiences interact to shape socioemotional development.
